| Earls'
Battery has an extensive repair process to make sure your battery gets back
to optimal working condition. This is done through our six step battery
repair process. |
| Receiving
Inspection |

Initial drilling to pull bad cells.
|
| |
- Assign shop number
- Record model, serial number,
AH and age
- Open circuit voltage by cell
- Specify gravity
- Physical problems - cables,
connector, covers, tray, compound
|
| Adjustments |
|
|
|
|
- Charge as needed until gravities
are 1.285 or as required
- Add 1,400 gravity acid until
all cells are 1.285 gravity
|

We begin to remove bad cells out of battery.
|
| Discharge
Test |
 |
- Discharge at the 6 hour rate
(i.e. 600 AH=100 AH per hour)
- Record cell voltage readings
each hour.
|
| Analyze
Test Report |
 |
- Determine which cells need replacing
- Determine if new or used cells
should be used based upon age and general condition of battery
- Determine if battery is economical
to repair
|

Finished Battery.
